Whether you are a man, or a woman, your hormones, and body, will be affected by estrogen levels.  While estrogen may play a larger role with females, it will impact men as well, mainly in the tissues of the breasts.  (If you have ever taken Doctor-administered testosterone injections, you are usually prescribed estrogen blockers.)  Today we’ll talk about the best foods for producing estrogen.

Poor nutrition, as well as genetic issues, can lead to lower estrogen levels.  However, the biggest contributor for this decline, in women at least, is age.  When this happens, disease can occur and the risk of diseases, sexual issues, and obesity, become very real.  So does osteoporosis.

For this reason, it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep it going by eating well, so today we’ll document the best foods for increasing estrogen levels.

Estrogen Rich Foods

#1:  Flax Seeds

Among the richest sources you can buy, there is a reason this is the number one pick.  You will not only get fiber, the all important omega 3 fatty acids, but also you can help lower cholesterol levels when consuming flax seeds.  Best of all, they are easy to eat and put on top of your cereal, in your smoothie, or on your oatmeal.

Containing isoflavones, you can get the many benefits of soy in yogurt, milk, or flat out regular soy. The most popular way to get soy is in tofu, however.

#3:  Fruits

Among the best fruits to boost estrogen include strawberries and peaches.  While not every fruit will help you build estrogen, these two are superstars.  They also reduce cancer risks, heart attack odds, and other heart diseases that could surface.  Eat them raw, blended, or as a topping – it really doesn’t matter.

Easy to snack on, grab and go, and add to just about anything you eat, stuff like peanuts, pistachios, and walnuts, are all great sources of estrogen.  You can also get them in spreads, like almond and peanut butter, making it easy to top on a pre workout bagel.

Ladies and gentlemen, rejoice!  Wine is healthy for you – again!  You’ll find high amounts of phytoestrogen in wine, and this will help female hormones.  (Guys, you can get the additional benefit of it reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.)  Of course, try not to day drink and find yourself having a wine at dinner along with some peanuts, but watch out for having too much of it, because the sugar content can sneak up on you.  Then again, you may not want to totally stop consuming sugar.
