Being Addicted to Electronics
Oh wow, this just hurts reading! A smartphone, tablet, and even television can cause trouble! When we can’t put down our phones, it’s hard to get it on, am I right? When your partner is addicted to Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat, the last thing you want them to be doing is monitoring that while you are attempting foreplay, but sadly, it happens! It also comes into play immediately after sex, where someone is so intrigued by social media that they immediately pick up their phone. It leads to a lot of feelings that we don’t deserve.
The solution here is to remove electronics from the bedroom. Sure, it’s nice having a television to fall asleep to for many of us, as well as a phone handy so we can handle the late night emails, but the best way to get the electronic woes out of your sex life is to shut them down during intimacy.
When you switch places during intercourse you can suffer from problems. I always figured that women liked to “feel it” different ways, but the study shows that the normally dominant partner switching places with the submissive one can trigger problems because it will make the other partner insecure.
When you feel out of place or uncomfortable, it can lead to bad sex. This will in turn lead into self-esteem issues so make sure that whatever you do during sex is mutually enjoyable and agreeable. If one person isn’t on board with a position change, talk about it. Fix it going forward so both people are stimulated and happy.
Low Self Esteem
This happens more often than you think. In general, a low self-esteem affects many facets of life, but in the bedroom it really can hurt. Feeling insecure and having low confidence will really make sex into a poor effort instead of something that is normally filled with excitement and joy.
